"If you desire to know where your spiritual work lies, look to your emotional pain."
--Alan Cohen, "Wisdom of The Heart" "To me, a person who starts meditating without going through therapy will have a tremendously hard time and perhaps will never reach to enlightenment. That is almost impossible. First you will have to drop so many things, with all those things you cannot go uphill to the Everest." -Osho "The Last Testament" Sign up for The Transpersonal Counseling Center Newsletter and Stay Connected! What Does Transpersonal Counseling Mean? "Transpersonal psychotherapy includes the full range of behavioral, emotional, and intellectual disorders as in traditional psychotherapies, as well as uncovering and supporting strivings for full self-actualization. The end state of psychotherapy is not seen as successful adjustment to the prevailing culture but rather the daily experience of a state called liberation, enlightenment, individuation, certainty, or gnosis according to the various tradtitions." -James Fadiman and Kathleen Speeth
